Qualified Business students can complete the Bloomberg Market Concepts (Certification) course on the terminals. Two new Bloomberg certificates are also available in ESG and Finance.

There are four additional computers in GATE 306. These computers contain Tableau Desktop (Data Visualization software) and also access to SAP. Gateway classroom 311 contains 6 computers with similar software for use during classes. Access to all resources in both rooms is gained through courses in the Business curriculum, especially economics and accounting. Room 306 also hosts meetings for Business clubs and competition teams, allowing collaboration and extensions of classroom learning. Scheduling and determination of eligibility is done through Business faculty and administrators. Please contact Dr. Katherine Toy ktoy@ocean.edu for details.

TECH 203

The teaching lab in Room 203 of the Tech building is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including 24 terminals, 4 BenQ boards, and large screens, making it ideal for teaching and learning. This lab features various software tools useful for business and computer science students, including a version of SAP software. This enterprise resource planning software is widely used by over 116,524 companies, allowing business students majoring in supply chain management to gain hands-on experience.

Students can learn SAP as part of their curriculum or through an Honors by Contract project while enrolled in the program or any supply chain management courses. Training for navigating the SAP software will be provided upon contacting the instructor to arrange a meeting time. For more information, please email Professor Sharmistha Banerjee at sbanerjee@ocean.edu.

CRIME LAB – SECURITY BUILDING

The Ocean County College Crime Lab consists of 3 separate rooms that students use as part of their criminal justice curriculum. The crime scene room is where students study the concepts of criminal investigation. Here, students collect physical evidence to help them piece together and analyze the events that took place before, during, and after the staged crime occurred. Upon collecting evidence, students use the forensics lab and apply scientific principles of biology, chemistry, and physics to recognize, analyze, and preserve evidence found at a crime scene. Lastly, students have access to the MILO shooting simulator. Students train in the shoot/don’t shoot simulator, which teaches them the fundamentals of firearm training and safety, as well as when to use force with a firearm. The simulator uses different hands-on scenarios to place the student in a situation where the use of force may or may not be necessary for law enforcers.

All three labs are located in the security building #30 (Rooms 124, 128, and 129). The courses associated with the lab are Criminal Investigation CRIM 280, Forensic Science FRSC 105, and Criminology CRIM 236.

For more information, contact Dr. Stephen Agresti at sagresti@ocean.edu.

Printing

Printing is available

Printing Costs:

Printing Locations

$.10 BW Single-Sided (cost is currently suspended in library)
$.25 Color Single-Sided (cost is currently suspended in library)

Color:
Library front desk

BW Only:
Library 1st Floor
Library 2nd Floor
GATE*101
INST*218
LARS*202
Manahawkin Campus (rear lobby)

Photocopying available ONLY in GATE*101

Lab Software Availability

Microsoft Office 2013 &
