If his\/her GPA is below a 3.0 at that time, eligibility for the STARS program is lost and cannot be regained.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n No, a STARS student may attend part-time in their final semester if fewer than 12 credits are needed to complete his\/her degree program. However, if the student does not graduate during the specified part-time semester due to failing a course, NJ STARS funds will not cover the cost of the part-time semester and he or she becomes ineligible for STARS II.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n No, the NJ STARS award does not apply to summer courses at this time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Yes, to qualify for the NJ STARS program, a student must have a FAFSA on file. If you are not<\/strong> eligible to file a FAFSA, you may still qualify for STARS if eligible, to file the NJ Alternative Financial Aid application at www.hesaa.org<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n No, as the NJ STARS scholarship only applies to tuition, no monies will be awarded if student does not have a tuition balance.
