Other official college transcripts should also be sent to Admissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant must meet ONE of the following 3 options and provide official transcripts:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;*Earned scores on ACT exams \u2013 Composite-24 or SAT minimum of 1100 combined Critical Reading (or Evidence Based Reading and Writing) and Math.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;A cumulative college GPA of 2.7&nbsp;<em>with all general education requirements listed below completed<\/em>. All previous colleges are considered.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;*An earned bachelor\u2019s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.&nbsp; May take general education requirements with nursing with the exception of A&amp;P I and II<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All Nursing Applicants who are in their final semester of completing the Nursing Prerequisites need to complete a criminal background check with&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.castlebranch.com\/OY49\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CastleBranch<\/a><\/strong>.&nbsp; You will not receive a date of completion without a clean background check meaning there cannot be an \u201chits.\u201d This a clinical agency requirement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must schedule the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) Exam. This is to be taken at OCC only. Please go visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocean.edu\/student-resources\/testing-center\/test-of-essential-skills-teas\/\" title=\"Test of Essential Skills (TEAS)\"><strong>Testing Center<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;website&nbsp;to schedule an appointment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must submit a copy of your driver\u2019s license showing Ocean County&nbsp;residency with every letter of intent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-left is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-1 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ocean.edu\/programs-courses\/school-of-nursing-and-health-sciences\/traditional-nursing-students-faqs\/\">FAQS<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns alignwide is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nursing General Education Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.ocean.edu\/areas-study\/nursing-health-sciences\/nursing-aas\/#programrequirementstext\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">See All Requirements<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>*It is strongly recommended that students with a degree or required ACT\/SAT scores complete as many of their general education requirements as soon as possible before entering the program.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>Students accepted without completing their nursing general education requirements must take those required courses concurrently with the other nursing courses with the exception of A&amp;P I &amp;
