For faculty and staff, you can login to Connect using the same username and password you use for\u00a0<strong>mail.ocean.edu\u200b.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New Users<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Students<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon enrollment new students will be provided with a username and password. These credentials will be used on various systems such as Ocean Connect, Webadvisor and Canvas. This account will allow you to access the Faculty &amp; Staff portal, Ocean Connect and log into your account on one of OCC\u2019s computers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For members of Ocean County College\u2019s Faculty and Staff use the following to login to your account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The OCC login uses your first initial followed by your last name\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your Faculty\/Staff username will look like:<strong>&nbsp;jsmith@ocean.edu<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On first login your password will be your 7-digit ID class=\"wp-block-group accordion__content has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be at least eight(8) characters in length<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain characters from three of the following four categories:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English uppercase characters (A through Z)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English lowercase characters (a through z)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Base 10 digits (0 through 9)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Non-alphabetic characters (for example, !, $, #, %)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New passwords cannot be set to use the previous 2 passwords used<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passwords must differ from the login name or any variation of the login name.
