It reads:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013Legal Citation:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/CFR-2022-title34-vol1\/pdf\/CFR-2022-title34-vol1-part106.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 106 (Title IX)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prohibited Sexual Misconduct at Ocean County College<\/strong>&nbsp;includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sex-based Harassment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual Exploitation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sexual Assault<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dating Violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domestic Violence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stalking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Retaliation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group pattern-accordion accordion__items is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group pattern-title-block is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Title IX Information and Resources<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons accordion__all is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline accordion__expand-all is-style-outline--1\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">Expand All<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-outline accordion__collapse-all is-style-outline--2\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\">Collapse All<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group accordion__item has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group accordion__preview has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button accordion__toggle\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-text-align-left wp-element-button\">Information About Reporting an Incident<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group accordion__content has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Ocean County College seeks to provide an environment free from harassment and discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Title IX law&nbsp;requires that the&nbsp;<a href=\"#team\" title=\"\">OCC Title IX Coordinator<\/a>&nbsp;receive notice of all reports of alleged sex-based misconduct. You have the right and can expect to have incidents of sex-based misconduct taken seriously. Formally reported incidents are investigated thoroughly and equitably and resolved through appropriate administrative procedures. Formal reporting means that information discovered and provided is shared with investigators, advisors, the complainant, and the accused individual (respondent) in accordance with Federal law, but with the utmost care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students and Staff are encouraged to report any incidents of sex-based misconduct&nbsp;such as discrimination, harassment, sexual violence, bullying or stalking. Situations like&nbsp;this can cause physical or emotional harm, and create hostile environments that interfere&nbsp;with educational or work pursuits and goals.&nbsp;&nbsp;As required by law, reports may be made by submitting a complaint via the <a href=\"https:\/\/cm.maxient.com\/reportingform.php?OceanCountyCollege&amp;layout_id=16\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Sexual Misconduct (Title IX) reporting form<\/a>, ADA\/504, and Retaliation Complaint Form, in person, or via phone, electronic mail or postal mail. All contact information may be found under the <strong>REPORT IT!<\/strong> drop down menu on this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Title IX Coordinator, most individuals on campus have an obligation to report. These individuals are known as Responsible Employees (regardless of their designation as Campus Security Authorities). These employees have a duty to report allegations of sexual harassment or misconduct due to their administrative or supervisory responsibilities on campus. Responsible Employees do not have the authority to take action to remedy Title IX violations but are able to assist those who have allegedly experienced harm by informing them of the college\u2019s reporting process and available resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials with Authority are those OCC employees who are explicitly vested with the responsibility to implement corrective measures on behalf of the institution for sex-based discrimination, harassment, violence, and\/or retaliatory conduct involving students, faculty, staff, or third-parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Disclosure of different types of sexual misconduct shared with any of the aforementioned individuals must be reported promptly to the Title IX Coordinator. The Title IX Coordinator works collaboratively with the reporter and makes every effort to operate with discretion and maintain the privacy of all parties involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Confidential Resources<\/strong>&nbsp;keep your identity and information private and anonymous. The counselors of the OCC Counseling Center are the College\u2019s only confidential resources and have no duty (except in extreme circumstances) to report allegations of sexual misconduct to the Title IX Coordinator. athletics programs, Title IX is much broader than athletics and applies to many programs at Ocean County College. These individuals are the Title IX Coordinator, Investigators, Decision-Makers (including appellate decision-makers), and any person facilitating an Alternative Resolution Process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Title IX regulations&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.govinfo.gov\/content\/pkg\/CFR-2022-title34-vol1\/pdf\/CFR-2022-title34-vol1-sec106-45.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">34 CFR Part 106.45(b)(10)(i)(D)<\/a>&nbsp;require OCC to make publicly available information on these trainings beginning August 14, 2020. Training materials for such training is linked in the table below.
