Community Ambassadors Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this club is to create opportunities for students to build community involvement and raise social awareness to homelessness, healthcare, and bullying.\u00a0 The club directly responds to the needs of the OCC campus and local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Environmental Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

An organization dedicated to environmental education awareness and action. Emphasis placed on grass-roots environmental networking and participation in state and national organizations. Participation includes outdoor activities, fun, and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NJ Stars Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this organization is to foster friendship and social networking among the NJ STARS I students at Ocean County College, and to promote interest in and information about the NJ STARS II program and the transfer process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soroptimist International of Toms River Sigma Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sponsored by our local club, Soroptimist International of Toms River, the club will serve the campus and the community by encouraging participation in group projects that promote leadership, mentorship, and volunteerism for the encouragement of self-esteem and integrity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and the Environment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The goals of this club are to promote sustainability practices and awareness within the community, to provide networking opportunities with industry professionals, and to support research projects that contribute to sustainable practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Student Health Advisory Council is an organization that has a great impact of the students at OCC.  Working in conjunction with the Health Services Department, this council brings health information to the most important people on campus\u2013our students.  Open to all members of the student body, this organization provides students with the opportunity to express their concerns and ideas on health-related issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Substance Use Disorder Advocates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this organization is to raise public awareness and education for the disease which is addiction, offer community networking and resources, and work as an intercollegiate collaborative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
