Improv & Theater Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This club provides students with a forum to hone their skills in Public Speaking and\/or in Acting, Directing, Playwriting, and Technical Theatre.  Intramural competitions are held and prizes are awarded for outstanding achievement in Public Speaking and in Theatre.  Faculty advisors, experienced in the professional theatre and in public speaking, provide private coaching, free of charge to members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music Club<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of this club is to allow students to gain experience and feel more comfortable performing(informally as well as formally)in front of others.  Club members will share and gain new ideas in performance and composition through constructive review and critique.  The club creates opportunities for OCC musicians to collaborate and perform together, and to experience and appreciate many types of music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OCC Jazz Band<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jazz Band is a one-credit music course, but also functions like a club outside of class time, in that it performs extensively on campus and in the region. We pursue and demand a high standard of excellence, and encourage individual and corporate uniqueness and creativity. Interested students should contact Kate Warren<\/a> for an audition\/interview. Visit the Jazz Band <\/a>page for more detailed information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Student Life Fun Fact!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Student Life Office is not able to reimburse students, faculty, or staff for purchases made for campus clubs or organizations.  Clubs may use the OCC ShopRite card for food and beverages for events. All other purchases using club funds must be made by Student Life staff.
